For most people who are sent a contract, the choice has been to pay a solicitor to look at it, or to read it themselves and hope nothing important slips past. Plenty of capable people end up signing documents they haven’t fully understood, because getting advice felt too expensive or too slow for the decision in front of them.
A lot of the first reading of a contract follows patterns. The same clauses matter in the same kinds of document, and the same protections tend to be left out. That part of the work can be systematised, and QuickLegalCheck does it in minutes for a fixed price.
QuickLegalCheck was designed by experienced UK contract lawyers.
Their experience is what the review is built on: which clauses matter in each contract type, what a reasonable version of each one looks like, and how to explain a risk in language people actually use. The AI does the reading, but it reads against a checklist, and reports back in a format, that lawyers wrote.
The system works through the contract section by section and clause by clause, rather than in one pass, looking for commercial risk, unusual or one-sided terms and protections that should be there but aren’t, and it reads everything under English law.
